Attorney John Griffith has extensive litigation experience in all areas of Family Law practice and has had great success as a Family Law practitioner in the San Diego area.  He worked as an associate in two of the largest family firms in San Diego County obtaining the position of managing partner of a well known North County firm before opening Griffith & Young.  In addition to his family law practice, Mr. Griffith travels nationwide successfully​ representing applicants in security clearance administrative hearings.

A veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Griffith has volunteered in the San Diego area providing pro bono legal services to disabled U.S. military veterans.  Griffith & Young supports our men and women in uniform and offers a military discounted hourly rate to active duty service members.

Catie Young Family Lawyer

Catie E. Young, Esq.

Attorney Catie Young was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. She attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.  In 2007, Ms. Young moved to San Diego to attend Thomas Jefferson Law School and pursue her career as a family law attorney. As a law school intern Ms. Young served the San Diego community volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Juvenile Dependency Court.

Ms. Young’s professional experience includes work in civil litigation, business litigation, white-collar criminal defense, family law, juvenile dependency, and national security clearance law. She has successfully assisted clients in child support, child custody, divorce, and domestic violence cases. Ms. Young became a partner at Griffith & Young in December of 2011 and brought with her a passion for advocacy for the clients of Griffith & Young going through child custody and domestic violence related matters.
